The Sabine Equation
June 7th, 2011

Rotunda of the Vancouver Art Gallery, 750 Hornby Street, Vancouve

Programme

Working alongside the Canadian Music Centre and the Canadian League of Composers, Redshift Music presents "The Sabine Equation" in the beautiful and reverberant rotunda of the Vancouver Art Gallery. This free event features new premieres by three emerging BC composers: Elizabeth Knudson, James O'Callaghan, and Christopher Reiche. Performed by an octet of musicians spread throughout the rotunda's three levels, these new works will provide sonic commentaries on the VAG's newest exhibit: "The Colour of My Dreams: Surrealism and Revolution in Art"."The Sabine Equation" takes place on Tuesday, June 7th -- when the gallery is "pay-what-you-can". This is a unique and inexpensive opportunity to hear the next generation of Canadian music in a vital cultural landmark.
