So many artists, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), collect even more new music we would call “indie” and talk about what metal comes out. We post music news, song premieres and more all day long. We are updating a weekly playlist some of our favorite tracks right now. Here is a daily recap with a bunch of interesting songs recently released in one place.
SPACE – “NOT LIKE YOU” & “BAD ENERGY”
Buffalo Spaced hardcore band released Two new joints on New Morality Zine, and the band says, “We don’t like to fit into the mold. We try to be as organic as possible and that’s what we want to convey with our music. Our music is for people who like to stand out in a crowd and want to be as true to themselves as possible, ”adding,“ Spaced is a middle finger for goalies, sexists and elitists. ”The songs are indeed unconventional, but still with just the right amount of familiarity, and they rock.

THYLA – “FLUSH”
British trio Thyla will be releasing their self-titled debut album on January 28th via Easy Life Records and they just shared another song from it – a nice slice of big screen dreampop titled “Flush”.

PETROL GIRLS – “I WILL GIVE YOU CHILDREN’S NOL”
British indie / post-hardcore band Petrol Girls have released a new Christmas song and video, “I’ll Give You Motherfuckers Christmas”. It’s an acoustic jazz-pop song that the group calls “extremely serious musical political commentary”, and they also sell a Christmas sweater for the benefit of The Unity Center, Calais Food Collective and No Borders Team, which “[provides] material solidarity with those stranded on the border between Poland and Belarus. “

NO PEACE – PROMO 2021
No Peace released a three-song promo on Safe Inside Records, and it’s a heavy but anthemic hardcore killer offering that will take you back to the early 2000s.

OCEANATOR – “TOO LATE” (ft. JER)
Oceanator released a ska-punk song with JER (Jeremy Hunter from We Are The Union and Skatune Network) on the brass. It’s awesome, and you can read more about it here.

MARTIN CARR (EX BOO RADLEYS) – “FLAMMES”
Martin Carr, the former guitarist and songwriter of shoegaze / Britpop greats The Boo Radleys, is working on his first solo album in five years, and as a taster he is releasing a new single, “Flames”, this Friday ( 11/26) via Sonic Cathedral. It’s a little different than anything Carr has done before, embracing technology in new ways with a technicolor cut-and-paste style that feels very present, but still with his Beatles-inspired melodic style.

JULIE DOIRON – “THOUGHT OF YOU”
Julie Doiron (Eric’s Trip, Mount Eerie) to be released I thought about you, his first solo album in nine years, Friday. It’s a wonderful, easygoing and tangy album, which oscillates between tender ballads and rambling rockers, all with Doiron’s expressive voice at the center. On the rock side, there’s almost the I Thought of You title track, “Thought of You,” which is both a failing love song and a convincing dusty rocker.
